AMA holds professional workshops throughout the year to educate our members on specific skills and aspects of marketing. Workshop topics vary per semester, but previous workshops were focused on resume building, creating an online portfolio, branding yourself, and the importance of networking. Workshops are hosted by industry professionals and fellow students.


National AMA offers a variety of certificate programs to its collegiate chapters that cover topics from market research to relationship selling. Many tools such as Google Analytics and HubSpot Sales Software also offer certificates to those who have learned to use the platforms. UT AMA hosts certificate events to learn course materials, discuss topics, and complete exams and other paperwork for certification. These certificates are nationally recognized and look great on resumes and LinkedIn profiles.


Texas AMA also holds networking dinners and events with Austin-area AMA members. These AMA members are successful marketing professionals that enjoy networking with our students while providing advice and opportunities. This is one of the major benefits of being part of a national organization.
